I had a marvelous stay at this hotel, where I felt completely restored in just 24 hours. The historic charm combined with modern spa amenities made for a truly unique experience, and the staff were incredibly helpful throughout my visit. While the dining was fantastic, the breakfast could use some improvement as it wasn't as well organized as I expected. Nonetheless, the peaceful ambiance and beautiful surroundings made up for it.

I had an absolutely delightful stay at this historic hotel. The ambiance was both charming and relaxing, with outstanding service from start to finish. The room was spacious and incredibly comfortable, making it a treat to return after a day of exploring the local area. The dining experience was top-notch, featuring scrumptious meals. The only downside was that the wifi required a fee, which was a bit unexpected. Overall, it was a perfect getaway.

The Spread Eagle is a charming and versatile country hotel with excellent facilities and a picturesque location in Midhurst. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, contributing to a comfortable stay. The service is outstanding, with attentive staff who go above and beyond. On the flip side, while most dining experiences were top-notch, there were moments where food was served at less than optimal temperatures.

The Garden room was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with all the necessary accessories, including a Nespresso machine and complimentary water.

The spa facilities, including the Scandi-chic spa, provided a great relaxation experience, and I highly recommend trying their forest bathing session.

7.0/10

I recently visited the hotel for an afternoon of pampering and relaxation, and while the setting was gorgeous and the spa treatments were fantastic, I encountered a few bumps that held it back from being perfect. The staff was attentive during our spa time, but there were moments of inconsistency and a frustrating interaction during dining. I'd still consider returning, hoping for an improved dining experience.

Service

The service was attentive while we enjoyed our treatments, but I did experience some difficulties in finding staff during our cream tea, and one member was not very pleasant when we needed assistance.
Location
9.0
The hotel is situated in a lovely area, which enhances the overall experience and offers a beautiful backdrop for relaxation.
Dining
5.0
I was quite disappointed with the cream tea experience; three of the cakes had nuts, which limited my choices significantly, and the staff's attitude during the billing process detracted from what could have been a lovely afternoon.
Facilities

The spa facilities, including the pool area, were well-kept and inviting, making it a relaxing environment to unwind.

5.8/10

We had a one-night stay at this charming historical hotel, and while it started wonderfully, a few issues marred our experience. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the food was quite nice, but we faced some challenges with noise, service delays, and room conditions that left us feeling the stay could have been much better for the price we paid. A delightful stay marred by some unfortunate service and comfort issues.

Rooms
6.0
We stayed in a basic room which was somewhat tired and located in the roof, making it extremely hot despite it being February. The room was adequately clean, but given the small size for the price, it didn't feel like good value.
Service
5.0
While the team was friendly, the service was quite slow during both dinner and breakfast. We had to wait for basic requests like coffee and juice, which detracted from the experience.
Location
7.0
The hotel is beautifully situated with lovely historic charm, but it was disrupted by a loud live music event right outside, making it hard to enjoy the atmosphere.
Dining
5.0
Dinner was good, but breakfast was a letdown with poorly brewed coffee and cold toast. The overall dining experience felt rushed and inconsistent.
Facilities
6.0
The spa was a nice touch, albeit small. However, its limited amenities and lack of staff availability led to less relaxation than one might hope for in a spa-focused hotel.
